ALEJANDRA GLEZ

We are delighted to announce the representation of Alejandra Glez. Glez is a talented artist known for her unique approach to contemporary art. Her works explore themes of identity and culture, often integrating mixed media to create impactful visual narratives. With her distinctive style and thoughtful perspectives, we look forward to showcasing her creations and collaborating on future projects in México. We are excited to bring her art to a wider audience and to support her in her artistic journey.

Her performance "Rezos Rituales y Altares," curated by David Barro, was held at the Museu da História e da Cultura Afro-Brasileira in March 2023. She also created "Daughter" in Tel Aviv that same month. In February 2023, she performed "Volver a nacer" at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum as part of the “Visión y presencia” program curated by Semíramis González. In March 2022, she exhibited at ARCOmadrid 2022 with the Fundación ENAIRE as a Young Photography Award winner. She showcased her work during the opening of the PHotoESPAÑA 2021 Festival alongside JustMad 2021, having won the IV Fundación ENAIRE Young Photography Award. Recently, she received the PHotoESPAÑA Master Scholarship in Photography, Theories and Artistic Projects. Alejandra is the first Cuban artist with a dedicated drop to promote her work in the NFT market. In 2020, she was a finalist in the XIV Arte Laguna Prize for video art, allowing her to exhibit at the Venice Biennale's Arsenale venue. Her works have been featured in many solo and group exhibitions in America and Europe. Notable solo shows include “El camino recorrido: Obras de Alejandra Glez 2018-2021” (Aurora Vigil-Escalera Gallery, Madrid) and “La vida es inmortal cuando se acaba” (Acacia Gallery, Havana, Cuba, 2020). Group exhibitions include “Una Partitura Feminista Radical” (2021) and “Detrás del Muro” at the XIII Havana Biennial. She has been an artist in residence at FUGAZ in Lima, Peru, and Clorofila Digital in Madrid, Spain. Her work is part of private collections in the U.S., Spain, Peru, France, Portugal, Belgium, Israel, Mexico, and Cuba.
